AC service and gas refill prices in Lahore — 2026
AC work is the most over-sold service in Lahore. Gas gets “topped up” that didn't need topping up, a service becomes a repair halfway through, and the price arrives after the panel is already open. Here are the going rates, what we charge, and the three things to check before you agree to anything.

Gas refill is where the range gets wide, and where the season matters most. In late May, when every technician in the city is booked, the number goes up. That is the single strongest argument for getting your AC serviced in March.

These prices don't move in June. They are the same in the first week of March and the worst week of July.
AC repair is quoted after a look. A unit that won't start, trips, leaks or makes a new noise can be a dozen different faults, so a technician diagnoses it first and quotes in writing before any part is changed. Installation and dismounting are priced per unit, as above.
Normal service or general service — what's the difference
Normal service is a clean: filters, indoor unit, outdoor coil, drain line cleared. It's what most units need once a year, and it's what most people mean when they say “AC service”.
General service is a deeper strip-down — the indoor unit comes off the wall, the coil is washed properly rather than sprayed in place, and the drain and blower are cleaned out. It's the one to book if cooling has dropped, the unit smells, or it hasn't been touched in two years.
If someone quotes you a general service price and does a normal service, you'll know: a general service takes well over an hour and the unit comes off the wall.
When to service your AC in Lahore — and why it's March
Every Tasalli plan above Essential includes an AC general service every March. That month isn't arbitrary:
- It's before the first real heat, so a fault gets found while you can still live without the unit.
- It's before every technician in Lahore is booked. From mid-May onwards you wait days, and you pay the season's price.
- A unit that's been idle all winter has a season of dust in it. Running it hard in May without a clean is how a cheap service becomes an expensive repair.

Three ways people get oversold on AC work
- “It needs gas.” Low cooling is not the same as low gas. A dirty coil, a blocked filter or a failed capacitor all look identical from the sofa. A sealed system doesn't consume gas — if it's genuinely low, there's a leak, and refilling without finding the leak means paying again next season. Ask what made him conclude it's gas.
- Tonnage. A 1 ton and a 1.5 ton refill are different jobs at different prices. Know which unit you have — it's on the indoor unit's label — before anyone quotes.
- The mid-job upgrade. A service that turns into a repair once the panel is off, at a price you never agreed. The fix is the same as with any trade: the number comes first, in writing.
Honestly: when you don't need a plan for this
If you have one AC and you service it once a year, book a one-off service. Rs 1,500 once a year is not a reason to subscribe to anything, and we'd rather tell you that than sell you a plan you'll resent in November.
A plan earns its place when you have several units, plus the rest of a house that keeps needing someone — the fan that's clicking, the geyser, the drain, the car.

How much does AC service cost in Lahore?
A normal service runs about Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 per unit in 2026 depending on depth. A general service — the full strip-down — sits at the top of that range. Ours are Rs 1,500 and Rs 3,000.
How much is AC gas refill in Lahore?
Ours is Rs 7,500 for a 1 ton unit and Rs 9,000 for 1.5 ton. Prices elsewhere move with the season; ours don't.
How often should an AC be serviced?
Once a year for a normally used household unit, and the right month in Lahore is March — before the heat and before technicians get booked. Twice a year if the unit runs most of the day or sits near a dusty road.
Does low cooling always mean low gas?
No, and this is the most common overcharge in the category. A dirty coil, a clogged filter or an electrical fault produce the same symptom. A sealed system only loses gas if it has a leak.
Do you install ACs?
Yes. AC installation is Rs 3,000 per unit and dismounting Rs 2,000, less on every plan. Repairs are quoted after a technician has looked at the unit.
